Matco Aircraft Landing Systems produces a superior 4″ inch wheel and brake assembly for use with aircraft requiring less than 1185 lbs per wheel. This model uses .75 inch TAPER/ROLL bearings. (Check the product comparison table for other bearing and caliper configurations).

DIMENSIONS – The W40-BDXT is a 4″ inch wheel with 3.27 inch width with an additional 1.13 inch caliper spacing. Bearing spacing is 2.04 inches and axle spacing is 1.07 inches. The total weight of this wheel and brake assembly is 3.8 pounds. The bearing axle diameter is .75 inches.

This wheel & brake assembly replaces the WHLW40-BD. The new WHLB4XT caliper with higher torque is used. This wheel uses the WHLW40-BDXT axle assembly.  This wheel and brake fits the WHLAXLE5 for the BD-5 aircraft.
