The Matco Aircraft Landing Systems WHLB323A 2-stage 4 inch brake assembly is designed for use with Matco Aircraft Landing Systems wheels. This model uses an internal caliper design and is designed to be used with the DS323 disc. The WHLB323A is supplied with no brake plate adapter.
The DR323 brake pad is used. This semi-metallic friction material compound was selected for its high friction performance and low fade at elevated temperatures to provide smooth stopping under high load conditions. The reline kit for this brake is the BRL-323 which includes linings and rivets for two calipers.
Most models of Matco Aircraft Landing Systems brakes are upgradeable to higher torque configurations as engine size or tire changes. Check our brake conversion kits or call our technical support staff for your specific needs.

The B323A brake is a two stage brake designed for use with the W323A wheel. This new version of the Matco Aircraft Landing Systems compound brake uses RadiusDrive torque tube system to provide smooth operation under high load conditions. The brake assembly bolts to the WHLAXLE15 axle assembly to provide a compact, high torque, high energy braking system and requires no brake plate adapter. The B323A brake system is designed to take brake temperatures down the axle and, as such, is best suited for metal landing gear structures. Insulation consideration must be given when used with composite or temperature sensitive landing gear structures.
